Week beginning Monday 1st June 2020

This week we have begun to experience what the temporary 'normal' will look like for a little while. We were excited to welcome back some children whilst continuing to enjoy communicating with and supporting those at home through Tapestry. Please can I remind you to use Tapestry as a method of communication with myself; I am able to comment and respond to what your child has been doing. 
In English this week we have been planning our story, inspired by the image, 'Lost', we have particularly focused on adjectives as well as writing effective story openers. I am very proud of the work that the children have achieved.
In Maths we have been focused on representing numbers, counting and recording as well as identifying odd and even numbers.
We really enjoyed our athletics lesson yesterday, the children learnt how to perform long jump as well as the techniques required for a sprint. The children were amazed to see how far professional athletes can jump and how fast they can run.
